kinda bothers me, as does the fact they like describing their pizza as 'NY' pizza. I'd be mortified if I got pizza like theirs in New York. It tastes like there's ketchup in their sauce. It's edible, but I probably won't be ordering from them again.

Of course not! However, this is as close as you can get in Hong Kong. The key is, they actually TOSS the pizza rather than push the dough with their fingers into a tray, as they do in most other places in HK. How much New Yorkers LOVE NYPizzah is directly correlated with How-Long-You've-Lived-In-Hong-Kong. The first time I tasted it, I was not impressed. But after local colleagues had me try their favorite style (russian salad dressing, squid and pineapples), I found my next visit to NYPizzah was surprisingly improved.

I have had pizza in New York, and frankly, It's a shame this establishment has "New York" in it's name. The pizza was just average Hong Kong style pizza; edible, but leaves you with an empty longing for the real thing.

having been born and raised in NY, i am very picky when it comes to my new-york-style-pizza. If i were in NY, i would not go back to New York Pizzah... BUT... i'm in Hong Kong, and this is as close as i've found so far. so, if i'm in the need of a fix, i'll take it.

Considering the ever changing tastes of the HK natives, i'm surprised NY Pizzah can stay in business. I'm very happy that they have a traditional pizzaria menu-- ie, NO thousand island dressing pizzas, NO soft shell crab pizzas, etc. Of course, this selling point to me is a negative to the HK natives :/

I did find several supposedly authentic ny pizza recipies, but i dont have an oven to try them in! if you've got an oven, i'll make the pizza!

Their pizza is AWFUL! How can they even call it pizza??? I'm from New York and am embarassed if people in Hong Kong think this is really what NY pizza tastes like. UGH! :x

I was hoping for a miracle, but expecting to be let down like to many other "american" style restaurants in HK do. All I can say is this pizza is awesome. I eat it at work, on my way home and delivered on the weekends when I'm hung over.
