I am not one to write reviews, this is, as far as I can remember, my first. This place is a Yoga factory/marketing machine. I went with a friend to look into their $8/class (7 day/week commitment) offer. From the get go the pressure was on with the woman assigned to us dangling promisses of cut rate prices and free lessons without disclosing the caveats that came with these offers until after it was too late to back out. We were not allowed to look around the studio until we have completed an absurdly long form on our life histories and interviewed with a rep who peppered us with questions about our health and yoga histories which, since they were not recorded in anyway and were repeated by a second woman during our second visit, were clearly a ploy to make us feel as if we were recieving "personal" service, yet provided anything but.
I was so turned off I decided not to take up the offer. My friend however, in town for the week, did sign up. For her first class she arrived 29mins before it started, but was told she had arrived to late to participate. The class itself mind you, is only 60 mins long.
Unfortunately, she gave them my contact number. This was over a month ago. In the interim I recieved at least a call every three days, sometimes three times a day. Each time I have told them to remove my number, my name, my friend's name, to no avail. Last week I finally threatened to report them to authorities. So far so good.
If you are looking to practice yoga, do yourself a favour and find a place that respects the principles of the practice. This place is an embarrasment.
