The Hong Kong Aviation Club is the only organization in Hong Kong that offers training on both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopter to Private Pilot License Level, including all required ground school subjects. The Club is also the only organization in Hong Kong where a PPL can be kept current. The primary purpose of the Club is to promote the art of flying light aircraft while providing recreational and flying training courses for individuals who wish to obtain a Private Pilot's License. Club activities consist of flying and social activities. The Club's fleet of eight aircraft is available for both training and leisure flying. Flying activities takes place at Shek Kong Airfield. Two fully qualified engineers are employed full time to maintain the aircraft. Hangar facilities are both located at Shek Kong Airfield and former Kai Tak Airport.
