Hong Kong Dog Rescue was set up in 2002, registered as a Society in August 2003 and in March 2005 gained full charity status. It is run by founder, Sally Andersen, with the support of many dedicated volunteers. Sally had been rescuing and rehoming dogs for many years before forming a recognised organisation which would allow dogs to be taken from AFCD kennels where they were due to be destroyed.

HKDR homing centre is based in Pokfulam and always has beautiful puppies and dogs needing homes. All shapes, sizes, types and age. Check out our website on www.hongkongdogrescue for further details.

If you are unable to commit to the responsibility of looking after a dog full time, why not come down and help at the kennels. We have a wide range of volunteer opportunities from dog walking/kennel workers/grooming/dog socialisation, or if you prefer to less hands on we always need people to take on specific roles such as fundraising/PR/events/admin.
