Signing up at California Gym is extremely stressful. The sales guys are very aggressive and if you give them your number they'll nag you 5x a day. The worst part is the haggling you have to go thru in securing a good deal, cos no 2 people are paying the same rate. So basically don't budge until they offer you that $0 joining fee they so love to advertise. The equipment in the gym is great and so are the classes. However, it does get crowded during peak hours and you may have to wait for a machine or queue for a class.

I hate taking the car to the garage cos I always think I'm going to get cheated. However, the couple who run Shine Ho are genuinely nice people and are interested in building relationships with their customers rather than ripping them off. Service is quick, normally 3-4 days and compared to the dealer their charges are very competitive.

Klong is a trendy new bar on Lockhart Rd which has the coolest drinks and an amazing happy hour to boot. The Thai Mojitos were amazing! Made of watermelon juice, fresh Thai basil, mint and coconut milk.

The place was packed for a Wednesday night, it may have had something to do with it being Ladies' night too. The pool table in the back also seemed very busy.

Have always enjoyed tapas and Boca's extensive menu includes both traditional and non-traditional dishes. Everything tasted divine (shrimps in garlic, calamares, chorizos, spring rolls, satays) and the sangria was flowing. The restaurant was packed for a Friday night and reservations are a must.
