Taco Loco is on your right just after Pure Fitness Center as you go up the escalator. It's a small restaraunt with a little bar and wall seating where you can watch people walk up and down the escalator and the walkway next to it. The staff was friendly and spoke and understood english well.
Food is about $30-50 a plate depending on what you want. One thing that sticks out in my head about this place is that it takes a bit too long to get your food. With only two other patrons in the room, it took nearly 20 minutes for my burrito to be served. The food is not bad, but coming from Texas I think I'm probably spoiled by authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex food. Though the menu isn't very extensive, I'd have to rate this place higher than most for Hong Kong Mexican/Baja type food. If you are willing to spend a bit more though, I would suggest Agave in Lan Kwai Fong - across from Insomnia. byClay, August 20, 2005
The Dublin Jack is an Irish style red building to your right as you come up the escalator, just downhill and across the street from Dojo. The first thing you should know about it is that it is one of the few non-smoking bars in Hong Kong that I've encountered. I haven't eaten at this establishment, so I cannot comment on the cuisine, but I have stopped in for a few beers on a number of occasions.
It is a mid-sized pub with a wooden bar and very friendly staff. A great quiet place for an early evening afterwork beer. On football nights it can get pretty crowded, with people standing outside to watch the large screen through the windows. Rating: 4/5. byClay, August 20, 2005
I have had pizza in New York, and frankly, It's a shame this establishment has "New York" in it's name. The pizza was just average Hong Kong style pizza; edible, but leaves you with an empty longing for the real thing.
