Data Center Operator

DATA CENTER OPERATOR

Duties and Responsibilities
- Work shift –Day, Swing or Graveyard
- Monitoring of regional infrastructure and applications
- System Health Checks
- Tape Management (Backup, Tape rotation, off-site Storage)
- Maintain Problem Logs
- Problem Escalation to relevant support groups
- 1st line of user support
- Participate in disaster recovery operation

Qualifications
- High School or Vocation Technical School Graduate (With some post secondary education or AA degree preferred)
- Windows based experience/knowledge is an advantage
- Mature, meticulous and posses strong initiative in handling difficult situation in an efficient manner
- Able to work independently
- Positive and proactive working attitude
- Good teamwork spirit
- Able to perform multitasking jobs.
- Shift rotation is required (inclusive of public holidays and weekends)
- Fluent in oral and written English Communication

Important Skills
- Basic Knowledge in Linux and Windows OS
- Basic knowledge in LAN and WAN
- Basic Network, PC and Server troubleshooting
