Pure Spa

Contact Information: In our spa directory

Opened in September 2004, Pure Spa boasts seven individually designed therapy rooms, including a couple therapy room with a view of Victoria Harbour. Each room features its own changing and shower room to ensure privacy.

Providing everything you would expect from a top spa, Pure Spa's most notable offerings lie in its innovative range of body treatments. In the one hour Pure Mud therapy, Dead Sea mud is applied to every inch of the body to draw out impurities and revitalize the skin. You are then left cocooned in a heated blanket to relax ($720). For the coffee addicts and chocoholics among you, here is a new way to fulfill your cravings: the Pure Obsession package starts with a Coffee Latte Body Polish followed by a warm Chocolate Body Cocoon ($780).

One of its most intriguing treatments involves lots of wine and a bath tub. Pure High lets you soak away your stresses in a bath of red wine which supposedly helps to detoxify the body! It concludes with a Stress Release treatment, all in all setting you back $880.

Elemis Day Spa

Contact Information: In our spa directory

In the first SpaAsia Crystal Awards (2004), Elemis won the Best Spa Product Brand Award. Riding on the reputation and success of its biodynamic products, the Elemis Day Spa offers a range of treatments, therapies and rituals in a 4,000-square-foot space located in the heart of Central. Its oversized therapy rooms allow couples or friends to share the pampering experience then relax in the Zen room with wine, herbal drinks and nibbles.

Holistic treatments at the Elemis Day Spa include flotation therapy where for 55 minutes your body is covered in a choice of wrap and immersed in the warmth of a float, producing deep relaxation ($580). If that doesn't appeal, try the Elemis Aromastone Therapy ($870), inspired by desert stones used by Native American Indians. It combines traditional aromatherapy massage techniques with hot and cold stones placed on key energy points on the body to ease strains and muscle tensions.

The top tip here is to visit Elemis Day Spa between 10.00am to 4.00pm on weekdays, and you will receive an off-peak 10 percent discount on treatments over an hour (excluding public holidays).
