| newbie here looking for new friends & language partners! Hi everyone, I'm a HK girl. I'm a native Cantonese speaker, OK Mandarin, and now, I'm learning Japanese. I can speak English too. But don't have chances to practise it! That's why, i'm so scared to talk to some one. I would like to improve my English I can teach you some Cantonese and Mandarin, in return! I also want to make some friends from different countries. Let me know if you're interested! regards, Suki |

| Hi Suki We almost gathered last week for a language exchange outing but it didn't work out very well see: Looking for language partners & new friends! I'm sure we will all make it next time, maybe this week actually ? - Let's see what kind of feedback we get... Don't be scared, I'm new here as well and all the people I've met and talked to were very nice. There will be plenty of events for you to practice various languages! Talk to you soon! b. Quote:

| Hi there. I arrived in HK last week and would be interested in learning another language. I'm a native English speaker and am interested in picking up both Cantonese and Mandarin (is this too ambitious to try for both??). I'm basically on vacation while I wait for my MBA program to start in the fall. I suppose I could help organize the first meeting... Ray |
