Hey ive a look at the visa application form. do u know if i should put yes or no to the question "do you have close friends in uk"? im wondering which answer will gimme an advantage. and how do they define close haha im afriad if i put yes, they will think the guy is my boyfriend and i wanna sneak into their country. if i put no, im worried that they think i will be a burden to the country in case i cant find a job haha wat should i put then??

well im a merchandiser here in HK so if im to go to Uk/Oz im gona look for the same kind of jobs.
You are best to look for jobs that required a cantonese/mandarin/japanese speaker. As they r more willing to offer work permit visa.
Its better to stick with the working holiday visa!

saying you have some kind of connection in UK is always an advantage so it's a 'yes'

It is so not true that all places are more or less the same. I have lived in 5 different countries within Europe and they are very different from each other. I am not too found of London, I dont know why but thats just the case. I am stuck in London for my studies. I might try a year abroad.

My favourite place is Madrid. Great night life, and discos (clubs...or whatever) start truely around 3 AM =]

Stockholm is great but only during the Summer when the sun nearly never goes down...

Nice (Cote D'Azur) is quite fun, you dont really need a car as you can walk to most places (you get quickly used to walking if you start). And if you try speaking French, just try, and then go to English with random French words, you will most of the times be treated nicely as you put a effort.

Cant recall too much about Waterloo (Belgium)

Being in London means you can get fairly easily by plane to most cool places, cool places I think you should visit if you go to Europe are:
Paris
Venice
Florence
Rome
Madrid
Barcelona
Cannes
Stockholm and its lakes (Summer time only....only)

PLace I have never been to but should be cool is New Zealand, very nice weather, no dangerous insects or animals, friendly people (the ones I knew)

And they usually provide accommodation, so all the money you earn is money in your pocket.

I’m actually going back to UK next week for a couple of months. If you decide to go over and get stuck, you can email me for helpr. PM me if you need any info.
Newbie, you are making a bad name of all of us (1.3 billions chinese people), why do you do something illegal going into a country where does not legally accept you ? I wish you will get caught this time you come back !!

you are being an oriental foreigner and educated from outside the UK, you will probably end up doing something really low paid. and expensive living in london, you might find it stuggle The guy from other message suggesting u to work in a chinese resturant earning £250 a week, it is shit money in london. you would have nothing left after rental and eat then forget about enjoying life. anything under £35k a year in london is shit money
