Unless you secure a job with the University (either Hong Kong Univ or Chinese University at Shatin) you will need to go the other route which means, you are classed as an 'overseas graduate' and will have to pass the medical council's licensing examination + complete a 12 months internship in a government hospital. (difficult tho not imposs without Cantonese)
The regulations changed in HK for UK graduates now.

If you go for a University post you will get temporary registration.
For any private hospital you need full registration (the exam/housejob route)
