i had my wedding photos taken from one of the local bridal studio. negatives are included in the package, but when i took the negatives to redevelop, i was informed that there are scratches on every negatives. has anyone taken wedding photos from the bridal studio here? do they purposely scratch the negatives so that i have to ask the bridal studio to redevelop photos for me, which is more expensive? when i check with the bridal studio, i was told the scratches were due to touching up of the photos. i have never heard of touching up using negatives, any idea anyone?

Sounds like a con operation. I'd contact the consumer council if I were you and report the bridal studio.

Make sure you let the bridal studio know that you're going to the consumer council.

called the consumer council. the lady i spoke to said that it is not possible for the negatives to be scratched due to touching up of the photos. called the bridal studio. at first they said it is not possible for me to redevelop the photos from other places, only they can do it for me coz' they have the special chemical for the negatives. told them that i called the consumer council, then they offered to clean up the negatives for me. the scratches turned out to be some kind of sales gimmick.
