Does anybody know where I could buy a phone with large numbers for my elderly, partially sighted mother?

Japan home center might have some cheap made in china ones. I can swear I've seen them around . 1.5x1.5 inch buttons

If you mean a tradional corded phone for a fixed line then PCCW will sell you one for $98 (you can order from their website).
