Investing in Emerging Markets

I know this very subjective but which funds would you buy into right now if you wanted to invest in emerging markets?
What are the expected intial fees and management (annual) fees?

I'm afraid you need to be more specific if you want any help. Remember that you have several hundred funds to choose from and I don't even include ETFs. Emerging markets are no exeption.

For the fees 5% entry fee and 1-2% annual fee is the regular rate if you get it from your bank or directly from the fund house.

Last but no least, the market is very hot at the moment so it will not be easy to find something cheap to buy.

Good Luck!

Which emerging market would you consider over others e.g. India over South America? What indicators do you look at e.g. number of years of consistently good performance? Which website would you recommend to get this kind of information and more of funds available once I've identified a bank/broker to work with? Thanks for your advice.

Lawrence21 is on a distinguished road
You may take a look at http://hk.morningstar.com
The India fund seems a bit pricy at the moment, and the China fund seems good to me.

The JP Morgan Emerging Market is one of the most successful.

They also have THE top natural resources fund which has gone up 18% this year alone.

no problems.

If you are going to buy through a GBP account try going cia fundsnetwork as the entry fee will be a lot less.

Shop around various brokers to see who gives youthe best fee rate for the JPM funds. I find that Fleming is crap on the rate !

Can't find JP Morgan listings using the morning star site. Who is Fleming?

Investing in emerging market funds is very much like a lottery: it’s so hard to pick out one that’s going to outperform which already hasn’t. Especially right now with the global bull run, stocks are expensive almost everywhere that's worth investing in. Personally I would start divesting from stocks and re-invest in commodities. Buy a general commodities fund or a gold fund, or commodity futures. At least limit your equities exposure with prices now at exalted levels and very little scope for further gains but every chance of seeing the bubble burst. Read Jim Rogers new book: Hot Commodities.
