Weird question but trying to do some planning for a trip to Shanghai - where is Huaihai Zhong Road? What is the name of the area/district and what kind of area is this - is this a good area to stay in? This is where my husband's Shanghai office is so just trying to work out if we should stay nearby or not.

Hi there,

Huaihai Zhong Road is located in Huang Pu District. It's nearest Metro station is call "Huang Pi Nan Lu". It is a very developed area with all amenities around. Cost of living in this place is consider high in Shanghai, many foreigners with high budget are living in this area. All the best!

Hi, I am a Shanghainess, a new comer to this forum. I've just read your questions on where is Huaihai zhong Road and others' reply.

Frankly speaking, Huaihai zhong Road (also called Middle Huaihai Road,EAST-WEST direction) is very long, which starts from Xizang Nan Road (South Xizhang Road, a road with North-South direction) and ends at Huashang Road (a road with North-South diretion). It belongs to one of CBDs in Shanghai, which is in the downtown of Shanghai and crosses 3 districts, Huangpu district, Luwuan district and Xuhui District.PLS SEE THE MAP BELOW FOR DETAILS.

And my foreign-invested companies offices are located in Huaihai Zhong Road. Totally, there are 4 metro 1(M1) station in there. It is convenient to live there. But the rent there is consider high in Shanghai.
