Do any of you GeoExpat folks work for Shell, BP, ExxonMobil, CNOOC, etc?

I'm an engineer with 5 yrs experience in US O&G looking for advice on how to advance my career on this side of the world.

I happen to work for one of those firms; most of our staff are from the regions, so, unless you have a particular expertise that is required, and not available, locally (as in my case), or you are on secondment for career advancement. I don;t think you will have a lot of joy from my company.
