| Well...for me, I like making friends with people from different countries and cultures. It's really GREAT and FUN to learn something difference from other people. Ya..I have to admit that sometimes problems or misunderstandings may happen due to the difference of cultures; however, everything can be overcome if people can be considerate and value the precious friendship in between. Can say..if you always bear in mind that people from different countries SHOULD have their own cultures and thinking, you can be more forgiving to accept the differences. If problems really come out, you can be more patient to look into it and get them solved with your friends. That's what I think! So...actually don't be afraid~most people here in HK are nice and sure you can make many good friends here~~welcome to HK! |

| Ange, I think she thought she might overcome it. We are good friends for now and are going to catch a movie next week when I get back from Sweden to London. What hurt most was that she was my first true love, took time for me to find a girl to fall in love with. I have been lucky I guess as everyone I knew came from an international background or at least went to an international school so there were no problems there for me. I loved the international aspect of moving around Yep, Ayukobaby, you are complete opposite of my ex. Well I might move earlier now to HK as I will be trying to transfer 3rd year into HKU. If that fails, I will be as planned in London until 2008. Ayukobaby if you're in London and need help then just pm me and I will see if I can help out. Not sure if I will be as I have only lived in London for 7 months. Thanks for replies : ) Last edited by martinj; 21-04-2006 at 11:50 PM. |

Martin, as with anything in life there are two extremes. Maybe your ex- could be categorized at being from one end. Though that's not to say that there aren't others who are open to the idea. I agree with some of the others here who suggest you to be open-minded and accept differences (there will be a lot of them |
