Question Background checks impossible in hk?
Is it true that you cant do background checks on a person in hongkong?

Are criminal records sealed? I read something about personal information being a proprietary information.

Any info would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

my wife had to do a Hong Kong criminal check to become an Australian Resident.

She had to submit a sheet of finger prints validated by Australian Police and have it sent to HK, who performed a criminal check after 2 weeks.
