Just wondering what people thought of Jimmy's kitchen? Service, food etc? Havent been there myself yet

One persons opinion. Havent been there for a while.

It was descent but not great. Nice decor and rather upmarket atmosphere but the dishes (by western standards) arent spectacular.

Wouldnt go there if i can help myself.

Jimmy's is a Hong Kong Institution and you owe it to yourself to go there asap.
I make it a point to go see the ol fellow a couple of times a year at least and make sure the Madras dry curry and wiener schnitzel are being dished out as they have been when Jimmy was doing the dishing.

The food is absolutely excellent. I totally agree that it's a Hong Kong institution. I love their baked alaska....
