Middle Eastern Restaurants

Hey there,

Does anyone know the price range of Habibi's Egyptian restaurant in Soho? What kind of food do they serve? (never tried egyptian food)

Does anyone know a restaurant called Zahra's? it used to be on 402A Jaffe Rd Wan Chai...has it moved? Anyone been?

PLS GIVE ME FEEDBACK!

Thanks!

Zahras closed down a month or so ago.

Habibi's is ok .. your regular middle eastern food, nothing too special in my opinion and the last time I went, I was not too happy with the service / crowded seating arrangements.

Whoa! My friend's dad owned Zahra's. I saw him a couple weeks ago for the first time in years...forgot to ask about the restaurant. What a pity!

hmmm...

has anyone heard of Beyrouth? on Lyndhurst Terrace?

Is it a sit down resturant kind of place? how is the food?

I would really like to go to a Middle Eastern restaurant... any suggestions?

Thanks!

Budget?

Beyrouth is ok ... I'd rank Habibi as being better than Beyrouth.
Beirut in Lan Kwai Fong is better
Olive in Soho is probably one of the best right now ...

Habibi's is over priced tat, especially if you ever eaten proper Middle Eastern food. Most Arabs I know would be personally affronted at the prices and measly portions they give you.
Olive is really good, though it is more mediterranean/Levant food. Haven't tried the others.

Beyrouth is a grab and go type place.. although they do have a little bar that you can sit at. They have kebab sandwiches for ~$45. Not amazing, but pretty good if you want to grab a bite in a hurry.
