Hello All, I'd like to learn dancing for fun and keep fit as well. What kind of dancing would you recommend? Social dance? Hip-hop & Jazz? or what? And also, I don't have any ideas about HK dance schools. Which one is good? I hope to find one not very expensive~ Thanks!!!

Did you get any responses regarding dance schools? I used to take salsa and swing and it was tons of fun. Let me know if you've started any courses and how they go.

Hello Jwleea, Well..I like dancing and wanna to keep fit! haha...recently, I've been putting on weight! Several years ago, I've tried some courses on social dance and jazz. After these courses, I haven't danced for quite a long time. Actually, I want to take some Jazz or Hip-hop class. However, I haven't danced for a long time, is it better for me to do some "easy" dance courses first to stretch my arms and legs again? Later, I can take some more "difficult" ones? Indeed, I cannot really understand what salsa is even though going to some websites for a look! Is it similar to Latin dance? Now, I haven't joined any dance class yet. Any good recommendation?! Thanks a lot!

Shameless Plug For My Wife!! Try Oasis Dance Studios http://www.oasis-dance-centre.com My wife Alana is a belleydance instructor there, but they do Flamenco and Indian Dance as well! Exccellent way to stay fit! (said by the lazy non-dancing husband who could stand to loose 10 lbs) Last edited by meengreen; 01-05-2006 at 06:59 AM.

Hello all, On the net, I've found two dance schools...seems to be teaching some "fast mvoes" dances like jazz and hip-hop. I don't know whether they're good... http://www.infinitydance.com.hk/ http://www.bcdc.com.hk/ And also, a friend recommends a dance school for funky dance. She's now taking a class there. http://www.kelley.com.hk
