Delia School I'm going to move Hong Kong soon. I have looked for an apartment, but now I realized that most of international schools are full! So I believe finding apartment first and then looking for schools near the apartment is very risky. In worst case, my kids should travel more than 1 hour every day. I have contacted some of the schools and became aware that Delia School of Canada is less crowded, but I cannot find any feedback or information on Delia school. Can anyone provide any comment on Delia School?

Delia schools are a group of School in HK (located in Taikoo, Mei Foo..). Delia School of Canada is probably the most "famous" one. Most of them are of good quality I would say. Nothing to worry about.

Consider these too Hi Delia of Canada is a good school you may also consider looking into the Phoenix Schools which is under the English School Foundation or there is a new international school being established in Clearwater Bay sharing the campus with the Adventist College there. It will follow an American circulumn I believe.

From what I have seen of the school, it has a 100% ESL student base with heaps of Japanese and Koreans. The curriculum has 2 sessions of English ESL a day. Second language can be Japanese or French rather than Chinese which may appeal. There was problems there last year with the principal. I can't recall exactly what, but it was in the newspaper nearly every week for a while. Oh yes, lots of extra unexplainable fees to which the principal replied "if you don't like it take your child out". Quite a few angry parents. I think someone resigned over it - maybe someone else can recall more.... Having said that, a neighbour's child is there in P6 and they are quite happy, but he had no English at all 2 years ago and is now fluent.

Hi, i will too, be moving to HK next year with 2 kids. they were born and raised in Japan and their english is pretty limited, at this stage. i'm thinking of enrolling them into the Delia School. my questions are: 1. if i live in DB, what would commuting be llike? i know they have a bus pick up from the star ferry pier. is it too much to commute for 10 & 12 year olds? 2. what is the curriculum like? is it really as good as it reads? 3. where is a good place to live at for easy commuting to school - budget up to 40K? any info will be highly appreciated!
