Emirates and Kosher meals....

Jewish? Thinking of flying on Emirates? Think twice!

No clue if its true or not... and to be honest, I don't care. But I do enjoy a good PR debacle when I see one.

Paul, Yes, but don't you think it could have been handled differently? Watch the headlines .. this is going to hit Emirates. On the other hand as people in the thread indicate, El Al does not serve explicitly halal meals either.

One of the joys of travelling MAS is that every meal is halal AND they serve beer with that.

This is quite obviously a wind up. I haven't checked, but I would be very surprised if Emirates ran an Auckland-Melbourne flight to start with. And so what if Emirates don't cater specifically to Jews- the Jews wont let Israeli Christians or Arabs to vote, own land, own businesses in their own country. And some c*#t is moaning about not getting a Kosher meal.

I'm equally surprised, why did he choose to fly with Emirates in the first place?? Did he overlook the airline with the largest number of connections between those two places (obviously Quantas, or even Air NZ)?? I'm sure 10 times out of 10 those airlines would have given him better deals, not to mention his "kosher" meal.

Its true....

I had a friend who is jewish and travels on EK about 3 times a week from NZ to AUS.

The only reason he flies them is because they are the cheapest on the route, and offer the best service. On EK you get a full meal, free booze, and entertainment, plus they fly their new A340-500's on this route.

On QF and NZ you get nothing and pay thru the roof!
