Uk electrical items

Hi everyone,

I'm new so go easy on me!
My wife and I are coming over from the U.K this August.
We were wondering whether PS2, T.V, PCs and Laptops need any
form of adapter to work in HK?

many thanks,

Tim

No special adaptors needed, but you may wish to question if your items are worth bringing as shipping sometimes can destroy things and you may want to sell it and get something new in HK.

Tim, we use UK style outlets here. Penguin does have a point - you could sell off your old stuff and buy new and better stuff for the money you'd get for it in the UK. Food for thought. The only things that are cheaper in the UK seems to be Marks n Sparks and mobiles.

UK TV and PS2 in Hong Kong

Hi Tim,

Everything will work OK here, When I shipped my UK TV over I think there was only one HK channel we couldn't get. Maybe the frequencies are slightly different.
One point about the PS2, it will work fine, even on a HK purchased Tele, but games you buy here may not work unless you modify your PS2 to play none European games. You can get your UK PS2 modified here quite easily and cheaply. Its almost impossible to buy an unmodified PS2 here. Coincidentally the modification allows you to play copied games as well as other region games, welcome to Asia!
