The Gold coast area is a pretty cool place to live, especially when there's a beach. Weekends can get a little busy with the tourist though. Due to the number of air hostess living there, there are shuttle buses running between Gold Coast and the airport very hour - or even more frequently (there's a timetable), it takes less than 45 min each way and cost about HK$40. Going to Central, you can always take the 962 bus, the whole journey takes 45min, and it is 24 hours. Hope this help. Last edited by nemrac; 08-04-2006 at 01:27 PM.

Yes life in goldcoast is quite good. 45 minutes you are in Central. 30 minutes you are in Jordan/TST and less than an hour you are at the Airport (shuttle bus) or you can take Minibus to Tuen Mun and catch a public bus to the airport (13 HKD around 45 minutes). As said above, 962 runs 24/24 so you are never stuck on the Island. The area itself is pretty nice with a good beach (not crowded), few restaurant and bars, supermarket, and of course Cicle K and 7/11.

there is a direct bus going at least once an hour from the Gold Coast club house to the airport. It is for residents only. You buy your ticket inside the club house for $35. It is a direct shot and takes 30-35 minutes. There is also a direct a bus from Gold Coast to Central for residents. It is really meant for commuters working in Central as there are only a handful of depatures in the morning and returns in the evening. If you are going to Central outsided of the regular commuter time, you can walk out to the main street and get on the 962 cost is $18. The ride is 35min-50min depending on traffic. No pets allowed in gold coast. Convenient to shops and restraunts. Gold Coast is safe, clean, quiet, and grounds are kept immaculate. Just about everyone here speaks Enlish and I would guess that at least 50% of the population are foreigners.

[quote=tx75070]t No pets allowed in gold coast. QUOTE] are you sure? I have friends living there with a dog and I think they do it very officially.

Yes, I am sure. I left my dog in the US, because of the rule. Maybe your friends got special permission. I know a couple that had to move because they were told they can't have a dog in the apartment.

you can live in Aegean Coast with your pets, and enjoy all the bonuses of the gold coast... except the shuttle buses, unless you are chummy with a gold coast resident... Last edited by dropdedfwed; 11-04-2006 at 09:50 AM. |

The bus fare doesn't cost that much! It is $13 bucks on the Long Win Bus And also agree with others, it's a pretty good place to live in...
