Question for women: BC?

Will be moving there and was wondering if Birth controls are easily obtained there? Or should I bring some?

Noticed Yasmin at the store the other day, not sure of other brands, or of patch.

Sorry I don't know the brands. I have seen Microgynon. The Pharmacies have Diane. Haven't seen the patch OTC, it may require a presrciption.

Was at the Pharmacy this morning and I asked about the patch. They have Evra and it sells for $130. The small pharmacists will sell it without a prescription.

I am not a female but I thought I would toss in a little imput.

Yasmin is in fact the most popular in Hong Kong. It is just over $90 to $100 per month and it can be found even in Watsons in the Family Planning area. Very easy to get ahold of and IMO it is a good price.

Thanks so much for the input. Did you happen to know which small pharmacy you went to? It was easy to ask them in english? I'm not quite sure how to say it in Chinese. Thanks so much again!

Hi Nudle.

I went to one near in Aberdeen. All the pharmacists speak English. Try Fanda in Central. The BC pills are usually displayed in the first counter. If he doesn't understand, just point to the pills and then to yr arm. It should work. Or just write down Evra. They have a website www.evra.com.hk if you want to print it out in Chinese

Easily avaiable the packaging has english and chinese so no worries they will know. You can go to any of the largere stores like Mannings and Watson's and even the smaller family owned shops have too!
