| | | Go to Macau (no extra visa necessary) and when you return to HK you'll get a 3 month tourist visa. | |

| | okay thanks Okay, thanks a lot. That's what I planned to do. I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't be refused at the border when heading back to HK. As a French national, I get a 3-months stay! | |

Hope to hear from you soon!
Thanks! | |

| | | It absolutely worked. HK immigration seems to be quite lenient in such cases.
What you were told was right. You need to terminate your visa first (in my case I stayed in Macau overnight and came back to HK in the morning). I assume it can be troublesome if you need to be at work early in the morning (well, there are ferries departing from Macau at 5.00am!).
Good luck with your visa. It shouldn't be a problem.

Anyway, thanks for your fast response!

Macau has 24 hr ferries. You can take the 11pm sailing to HK and be back just after midnight if you want to do it in one day. | | Tools | Search | | | | | Rate This Thread | | | All times are GMT +8. The time now is 08:43 AM. | Partners |
