Cool Good churches

We are moving to HK and need a good church. Can anyone help? We are Christians and we are looking for a good evangelical church (English speaking).

There is an old historical church in Central that I have been to twice. They have an English speaking service every Sunday night at 6:30 I believe. One of the services was in the form of Taiza, a traditional French style service where there is a lot of silence and prayer, chanting, several readings, and candle lighting. It was pretty nice.

Hey I actually just found some more information on this church:

St. John's Cathedral
4-8 Garden Road, Central

The cathedral is the oldest surviving Western ecclesiastical building in Hong Kong, and is believed to be the oldest Anglican church in the Far East. Built in a style adapted from both the 13th-century Early English and Decorated Gothic styles, construction was completed in 1849 under Bishop George Smith, first Bishop of Victoria. Due to a shortage of funds, the tower was finished a year later. An eastern extension was added in 1873, the foundation stone laid by His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh. During the Japanese occupation, the cathedral suffered heavy damage; most of the present interior design and furnishings are post-war. It was also during this period that the church was used as a social club for the Japanese community. Open 7am-6pm daily.

There are a couple of churches in the YMCA kowloon - one is calvary church on at 2pm (not 10 as the website suggest) www.calvary-church.org.hk and another one on at 10am which i think was international church or something like that.

Hi Kitten, where in Hong Kong will you be staying? When you say Hong Kong, do you mean Hong Kong Island? How long are you willing to travel and do you want exposure to Cantonese or Mandarin in such a Church? Also who is we? Do you have Children and are looking for a Church with a Children's program? etc etc. Are you looking for Missions trips?

What is "hands up"? Or, by asking, am I showing that it won't appeal to me?
Since we are all searching for churches, how about ELCA Lutheran, English speaking, with children's progam in NT (Shatin Center area, not Gold Coast, Sai Kung). Could also be Methodist or perhaps any mainline Protestant. Saturday evening service would be the icing on the cake.
