Can I teach a math course for english speaking students? If I get this TEFL certification could I teach a math course for english speaking students? I am much more interested in teaching math than teaching english?? Or is that not really in demand??? Who do I contact once I get the TEFL certification to go about finding teaching jobs?

| Condsider getting a paid internship ... or at least an internship so that you can gain the much desired international experience on your resume to be able to attract employers when you do return to the USA or go elsewhere. Honestly since you will be here such a short period of time it would almost be foolish not to capitalize on utilizing your economics course of study with something. Please pardon my bluntness and directness. I start with contacting American Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong Trade and Development Council and even target some NGOs or multinationals with offices here in Hong Kong. | OK... so on another note... While I was in school, I did modeling (print/ commercial work) work. I would like to contact an agency in Hong Kong to do some modeling while I am there. I know of a few agencies, but not sure which agencies focus on commercial/print work vs. runway work? Also, does anyone know of acting studios that give lessons, preferably located in central hong kong? I am also wondering if anyone knows of a good place that does high quality photography printing?? Thanks for all the help thus far, it is greatly appreciated!!! |

math What level math could you teach? Specialist math tutors are quite in demand in HK, especially for F4-F7 levels (ie. equivalent to grades 10 through first year colleage type courses).

Hard to explain but there website explains it better. http://www.kumon.com.hk it is based on each child's individual learning ability rather than his or her age or school grade.

Yeah, I used to do Kumon here in the States when I was younger. I could probably teach up to Algebra 2 level very welll, and beginning Calculus. I would feel most comfortable sticking to anything right below Calculus. I will definitely check out Kumon, good idea!
