heya,
I've been in HK for about 3 weeks now. I came here with nothing. I have teaching experience though. I've found a job teaching and have applied for a work visa which I should get in a few weeks. All this was done within a week of arriving here. Basically once you are here I think its retty easy to find a job and get a visa, provided you are in the right field, ie teaching is in great demand if you are a native english speaker and if you are here long term, you will find a lot of companies more than happy to sponsor you for a visa.
good luck
xx

EUChinese is an unknown quantity at this point.
Try "Michael page" recruitment agent, i think they do seek jobs for people internationally.

visa

I came over with my folks recently hoping to get work in the teaching aide area. My dad is working here and I am on a tourist visa. But I had a real hard time cause noone was willing to sponsor me. So I applied for a visa and hopefully now wil have it in a month. Alot of people told me it was easy but not for me.

Almost a minimum job requirement in the business field to "be able to" communicate in Mandarin. Whether well spoken is another question.
