Does anyone know where to buy cuts of wood? Near Causeway Bay?
I need to buy a piece of wood for a home-made table-top. I know IKEA
sells tops, but I am looking for a specific measurement which they don't have. Would appreciate anyone who knows. Thanks!

The Sheung Wan end of Wellington Street has some wood shops. We'd got them to cut it to measure for DIY project.

There's an old one one, Sang Lee Co., on Queens Rd East (one block east of Amaroni's). Limited English. I got by with sign language and measuring tape, but being a Cantonese speaker or having one in tow helps. Or take along specs written in Chinese.

Is wood expensive here? I want to build a bed. Of course there aren't any Lowe's or Home Depots around so it will be significantly harder this time
