Smile Gym usage for 1 week during my stay in HK

Hi there,

I will be visiting Hong Kong from the 01 May - 05 May 2006 and I am currently on a 12 week fitness program.

I require access to a gym for a week to keep up to my fitness program. Three days of weight/resistance training and two days of cardio.

I need to know which gym I could use and what the rate will be for tourists? For my weight/resistance training, I will need the supervision of a personal trainer - what will the cost be? I sent an email to the California Fitness centre in Tsim Sha Tsui a few weeks ago, and no response - I resent the email and I am still waiting... in the meantime, can anyone help me, please?

I will be staying at a hotel with a gym, but I am still waiting for their email to inform me if they have personal trainers available for guest?

Your help will be much appreciated.

Which hotel are you staying in? A few hotels have a Fitness First there and I'm sure for a fee their trainers will provide you with what you're after.

In addition to Fitness First you can also try contacting Pure Fitness, another gym chain in HK.

Stay in the Excelsior Hotel... I think that's the name...in Causeway Bay... the hotel has a hotel Gym... and it's Fitness First. You will definitely get all of what you're asking for. No problem.

Cheers.

Thank you

Thanks for your responses.

I have recieved word from the hotel that their gym does not offer personal trainers. At least I can train at the gym at the hotel and as a guest, I won't have to pay an extra fee for the usage.

I just need to be careful when training on my own- my main concern is self injury.
