Any recommendations for Chinese vegetarian (yes faux meat included) restaurants? Any in the Central area?

Don't know anywhere in Central, but Veggie XP in Wanchai is pretty good, as is Kung Tak Lam on Yee Wo Street, Causeway Bay. Plug "vegetarian restaurants hong kong" into google and the first couple of links give you quite a long list.

I'd be interested in such places too please. I find a lot of the dedicated Chinese 'vegetarian' restuarants a bit greasy, and it would be good to find somewhere that's not just about salads and cold veg.

I love Chinese vegetarian food! Especially the mock dock there's a place under the escalator to Soho near Devwill hairdressing that sells all those kind of things.. On Cochrane Street I think opposite Central Market.

Ever tried those restaurants in the little alley? right behind The Center building, on Queen's Road Central? I know they have some vegetarian restaurants there that are always packed with patrons during lunch time.

not restaurants...but I tend to find that larger temples have good vegetarian Chinese food. not too greasy,and somewhat unique. the drawback is that you have to go there (although that's interesting too) and it's pretty much a set menu...

There is a little Chinese veggie restaurant that's open at lunchtimes just round the corner from "The Chippy", next to all them fancy dress costumes on the stairs leading down to Queens Rd. You can get a set lunch for around $20, cheap, cheerful and definitely vegetarian!
