I'm looking for a place to buy some cheap eye-glasses. Like most products in Hong Kong, shops tend to concentrate in particular areas and I was wondering if anyone knew of any such places selling eye-glasses. I've seen pairs for around HK$330 (lenses, frames, all inclusive), which I consider a pretty good deal but I was just wondering if others have other experiences. Thanks a ton for any and all advice.

i saw a shop in Yun Ping Road, Causeway Bay. they are selling glassess in 3 prices ($2xx, $3xx and $4xx). u can go and take look !

I usually go up to Shenzhen to buy frames for about $100-150 RMB, then have lenses put in. Got a pair of Cartier frames up there a few months ago that are absolutely perfect copies - the guy at the optical shop couldn't even tell they were fake. Cost me about $150 + 320 for the lenses. The same model on Queen's Road woulda cost me close to $9000 with lenses.

Right across from Sogo in CWB, you'll see ladies carrying placards and handing out leaflets for cheap eye glass places .. there are three or four discount frame places in and around that area. Atleast one that we've seen is in the building with six / seven floor of restaurants including Pho Saigon.
