Just wondering, but will most bars in HK be showing the world cup games? I'm moving to HK in May and I'll die if I don't get to see England winning the trophy!

Thanks, that's good to know. Thought they would, but just wanted to be sure, I remember getting up at 4am to watch champions league games when in Tokyo, but there was only local bar that showed it which was full of hostesses just finishing work and their pimps, I mean boyfriends!

Come on England!

dont worry there are lots of Brits who own pubs & bars here, and you know they love football more then anything. and you dont have to worry abt any pimps & working girls, there MIGHT be some in Wanchai but in LKF you are safe from them.

the world cup pool matches are a waste of time. It best to go to a bar to watch the finals and stuff. There is no need to subscribe to cable jus for one channel.

Cable TV is actually going door to door trying to get people to sign up... I said I don't give a shit about soccer.

BTW if you do want to see these games, you can download them on torrent or newsgroups easily. They won't be live though of course

lowlight: Yeah! Cable TV rep was also knocking on my door for sign up but I refused.

Well, I will probably get slingbox installed in the States and watch the earlier group games on the computer. Hopefully, ATV will show the later games of the tournament.

Shame on Cable TV!! exclusive broadcast right means massive ripoff to diehard sports fans.
