Does anyone know if there are any conveniently located "Drop Off/By the Kilo" laundromats in Central, maybe Worldwide House? And do they usually have a one-day turnaround?

From Central, walk up the first section of the escelator, get off at Wellington Street and walk 50m towards Sheung Wan....its cheap, I forgot, but I think its around $24 for 7 pounds for washing only...

oh yeah I forgot....you can pick it up the next day....if you drop it off in the morning you can usually pick it up on the same day....

Thanks for the suggestion. The Wellington St. one is a good suggestion - any other suggestions closer to upper mid-levels (Robinson, Conduit)?

I had some laundry done today by Sunshine Laundry, a laundry chain. I presume that's the one mentioned being in Sheung Wan. Their laundry bag says there's a shop in Ling Yeung Terrace, Bonham Road. Not sure where that is exactly, but hope it rings a bell for youl. I think it's Central or thereabouts. Phone number is 2104 9349

Btw, yes, it's charged by weight, but if under 6 pounds, there's a special fixed price of $22.

There are loads of laundries on/around Robinson. Come off the escalator at Robinson and turn left (if going uphill) and there is a laundry place in about 25m. Ther's another flashier one on the other side of the road about 30m further... carry on down Robinson to the junction with Mosque Junction - there are a couple there; plus one in Mosque Junction itself, and one in Mosque Street.
