HIGH DENSITY - Photo Exhibition by Laura Liverani
Hong Kong, Fringe Club, April 4th - 15th

Born in Ravenna in 1970, Laura Liverani is an emerging Italian photographer: her works have already been displayed in several galleries in Italy and they have been published by Italian and British magazines. The artist, who has completed her studies in Bologna and London, is now also teaching photography at the Superior Institute for Artistic Productions (Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche – ISIA) in Faenza.
Since 2001, Laura Liverani has focused her inspiration on China. She has transferred the impressions collected in her travels around the country into striking and intriguing images, creating a personal interpretation of the new urban realities of China. The collection presented here is a selection of works depicting Hong Kong and its neighbor Shenzhen. Around thirty black and white and color photos will be displayed. Their subjects are landscapes and people. The title chosen for the exhibition is "High Density", summarizing in two words the concentration of persons, buildings and feelings that are present in the photographed realities.
The exhibition will be held from April 4th to April 15th, 2006, in the Fringe Club of Hong Kong.
