Dining Highlights in HK

Hi All,

I have an urgent request !

I'm leaving London for Hong Kong today and will be spending 6 nights there. I'm there on a business trip but wanted to take the opportunity to try some of the highlights of the Hong Kong culinary world.

So what I need to know is where should I most definitely go to eat ? and what should I eat ? Obviously Chinese food will form the major part of my diet for the week but I'll try pretty much anything once ! My budget is not unlimited but I'm willing to spend anywhere up to £50 or $650 HKD for a meal if it's worth it or even more if it is something which should definitely not be missed.

Thanks in advance

Rick

H i-
Rick there are a ton of places that are offer a variety of crusine from all over. Take your pick...Chinese, Thai, Italian, Indian, Spanish, Korean, French....

Plus so many places have great lunch deals - you should consider checking some out at that time as well.

There is also afternoon tea time too! For this may I recommend COVA (locations in Causeway Bay, TST, Admiralty) and of course the China Tee Club in the Pedder Building in Central (good for lunch and tea)

Is there a particular area - where will you be staying? and where will you be working that will help narrow down the list.

Wow with HK650 per meal ! You should be able to take out a person or two for a meal as HK has some great "worth it" affordable eats ... like Branto on Lock Rd in TST (Indian Veg) ... then there is Tuk Tuk Thai on Gramham Street in Central (Thai)

You may even consider a meal at one of the numerous private kitchens in Hong Kong - which offers great food by world class chefs - you just have to bring you own wine or other drink.
