I have no problem at all with my Linksys wireless router (Linksys is essential the consumer arm of Cisco).

Linksys wireless router is quite popular. But does it have a wired router also? I am not interested in creating a wireless network. I need to hook up my PC (that does not have a wiresless reciever) and a laptop.

Most have atleast 2 sockets for wired connections. My WRT54G has 4.

linksys is good. But if you have a mac i would suggest brand loyalty because it will be very simple to set up. I bought a Belking router and it kept crashing because of the set up method required for macs. So yeah i hope that helps

even if you're using a mac (which i do), the linksys one's work great. although i do have an airport express base station for travelling purposes.
