| May - from Cologne to Hongkong Dear Expats, thank you very much for informing me so anonymous by now ;-) - i am an expat-in-spe moving in 4 weeks. I read here every day since the last weeks. we, my wife and me, being in HK some weeks ago had the impression - after watching at several high riser - that TST might be a good start to dive into the new culture. So we will try to rent a flat somewhere around Nathan Rd. which attracted us by infrastructure and atmosphere quite much, of course central is nice as well, anyway, I think within 15-20 min. you can reach every area of the town. Though my company provides me with 12 m^3 we thought about getting not so much stuff with us, just the personal belongings, clothes and some old oak-furniture. are there any concerns for wooden furniture because of the high humidity? do you suggest we should take washer/dryer and household aplliances with us? thanks in advance for your answer dean |
