nice to meet everyone yesterday... the atmostphere was great and fun. hopefully there will be another gathering again with the following thread name "employed people meeting.." get rid of that "un" haha!

We talk about the benefits of networking and exchanging contacts and yes a few have got jobs since. We've only had a few meetings so its pretty productive.

Is the job market that hard in HK? I was under the impression that the market was picking up and it was easier to get jobs for qualified professionals, especially if you have ROA. Please inform as I am planning my move to HK soon (When is still in the air, as there are alot of things to wrap up) but if the market is really that low for finance especially, I will defer the move further. Thanks for your help

Yes the market is tough for a lot of people, Put it this way theres a lot of damn good people out there with a strong background in finance that are struggling to find anything decent, Myself included.

Very Reassuring! lol. but when u say decent, what level are we talking of? please share ur experience with me, if thats ok with u. You can PM me if its not something u would like to have on the thread. I really would appreciate all the help I can get. Just for clarifications, I am 25 and have 7 years experience, 3 of which were while I was in university.

Yup agreed with Nation.

I have 17 years corporate experience and the last 5 with blue chip financials and I'm still struggling to find something decent.
