hi

I know this thread is for unemployed people's meeting which i think i might be soon after my boss had a go at me. How many have actually quit their job cause they were not happy and felt they are dissapointed with the management and taking the chance to be unemployed and find what suits you.I have been with this company for over 6yrs and new hires are getting paid the same salary.

Hi Jellybean

Yes I've done it and quit a job after 3 and a half years service with no other job to go to. I understand what you're going through as a similar thing has happened to me in the past. I'll tell you more as and when we catch up.

Well that was back in U.K about 6 years ago but it took me about a month or so to find something else.

I did the same thing though last year when I left London last september to come out here and its been a struggle but I'm finally getting somewhere.
In HK I'd advice you never to quit a job unless you have something else to go to.

Another nice meeting place is the Fringe Club in Central. Inexpensive and great for sitting around talking.

I'm an employer so let me know what you're all looking for and perhaps I can assist.

I totally agree with jimbo, I made this mistake of leaving my job, as my boss was really giving me hard time. But now, after more than 2 months, i dont have any job in hand, i wish i have never left it.

i second this.......never quit a job unless you have something else to go to.

Yeah Wednesday is Ching Ming Festival so a public holiday.

Jellybean - I've been in the same position a number of times - once resigned from a job as a matter of circumstance, one redundancy and one contract completion. All three without another job to go to. I wouldn't recommend it as it took a while to find work. Even moreso now I'm in HK where the job market is very tough. Having said that I do know a friend in HK who has done it twice but she works in corporate law where they're always screaming out for people.

Goodkarma - What industry are you in and what area within that industry? If you or your contacts are looking for employees what sort of levels?
