More than likely not but you could try some of the small independant mobile phone shops in Mongkok and Shamshuipo though.

hmm..i have an 880 myself....but i bought it here so it has the chinese option in it...is there not a meny options where u can change the language settings?

i have a qu. about your sms's - can u use predictive text on your phone, or do you have to type in each letter indvidually?
on l\my last lg phone i didnt have to . but now with the U880, i have to sit n type each individual letter n its SO frustrating!

I have heard there is some kind of locking to languages other than local official language for most cell phones (not sure for LG U880 specifically). This is to make ppl buy from local authorised dealers.

I have read from a magazine some time ago, some shops in Mongkok Comm Padium, 83 Argyle Street, Mongkok provide unlocking service. U may check with them to see if they can unlock LG U880. Good luck.
