Talking Good bakery

hey guys..

Is there any good bakery around on HK island?? i do not like the local ones, they are either too greasy or too sweet. i'm not keen on the Japanese bakery in Citysuper either, too soft and airy i ended up having 5 slices for breakfast... it's ridiculous! I like my whole wheat bread with a fairly dense texture, the crust is generally chewing and crispy, or at least i can use it as a weapon if neccessary...!! Any recommendation??

And I thought I was picky!!

Catherine's Bakery in Sheung Wan is the place you want my lovey,
we buy our bread in advance to our weekend booze up in order to soak up the alcohol before we go to sleep - it's becoming a ritual!

Also, Maria's - she bangs out a spot on cheese cake for $14 if you ever fancy it!

Bubs, all alone in the world without CurlyWurly..

Bagels?

Someone told me that there is a great place to buy fresh bagels in Soho. Is that right?
