According to recent announcements, the PS3 is not going to hit the market until November, but it is not too early to discuss some of the aspects of the much-anticipated system.

One big revelation is that the PS3 will be REGION FREE!. Maybe getting a region-free system will be worth the wait for impatient gamers.

While I currently own a PS2 but not an XBox, I have to admit I am tempted to go pick up a 360.. but I am probably going to hold out a little longer to see what other details emerge about the PS3. If the release date slips again that will probably be the breaking point for me.

The slip to November was the breaking point for me. It was supposed to come out some time around now, and I had it all planned out - move to HK, buy a nice HD display, and get a PS3! Sony screwed that up, so I went with an XBOX360
