Jazz clubs

Are there any good Jazz clubs in HK? I was thinking live jam sessions with a beer or so. Any tips or pointers?

Fairly new to HK so I haven't really figured out where everythign is yet.

The Blue Door in SoHo is good - if you're Swedish, you might be interested to check it out this Friday night as Rickard Malmsten, a Swedish bass player is playing. Gecko lounge is also good - they have a jam on Wednesday nights and Jazz again on Thursday. Fringe Club also often has jazz gigs.

Sounds exactly like the house band at the FCC, led by Allen Youngblood, who knows pretty much everyone in the HK jazz scene. You can contact him through jazbalaya <at> hotmail.com or pop down to the basement bar of the FCC most Tuesday, Thursday or Friday evenings and you'll find him there (it's a members' club, but no problem just walking in to find people - it's the buying drinks you won't be able to do!)
