Type of HKID for spouse dependent married to HK citizen

Good day Sir,

I am a HK born citizen and was wondering upon receiving my wife's dependent visa and applying for HKID. What type of HKID will the Immigration Department give and when she would enter and leave HK does she needs to present her passport for stamping or the HKID will be sufficient?

Thank you very much.

Sincerely yours,

Alvyn

She will have a normal non-permanent resident HKID card. She will need to use the Residents' queue at the entry point (you can use the Permanent Residents' queue) and she will need to get her passport stamped each time she enters and exits.

You need both passport and ID each time you enter and exit but won't be stamped each time...
