Wife with dependent HKID

Good day Sir/Madam,

I was wondering once my wife would have the HKID, will she need to have her passport
stamped every time she enters HK?

Every time she exits/enters until she becomes a permanent resident or until the goverment implements e-channels for non permanent residents.
