Wine, women and song - what more does one need for a good night out?

Seriously, good call on the (new, improved!) Cavern - having a decent band playing, without it being a cramped sweathole like Insomnia, was very nice. I think a lot of people had gone by the time I got there, but I can't imagine what it was like with 150 (plus/minus) geoexpat-ers in there...

Over the course of the night, the 'wine' was a combination of wine (white, red and champagne), beer, gin and scotch... I'm getting too old for that sort of thing...

This says it all, not sure about the getting too old comment though! Of course, I was rather miserable the next day, which demonstrates that this was a great outing to be repeated at some time in the future provided it is not too soon. As a condition for letting me out of bed on Saturday, I had to make a pact with my liver to spare it from further excesses for at least a few more days.

The youngsters quit early??? I'm 32 and I was on the dance floor for 3+ HOURS.

It seems like you guys had some great fun. As usual I was stuck in a business trip & I missed the opportunity again.
