Unhappy Help!....scratch on glass table

My favourite glass top table has a huge scratch right in the middle, about 12 - 13 cm. Is there a way of fixing it? Where, who, at what price??

Hmmm, looks like no one has had this problem. That makes me the odd one out. But I do need to get rid of the scratch. Someone please show me a direction....

If it's a deep scratch then probably the only way is to replay the glass. Have you try calling the place where you got the table? They might be able to hlep.

There is a substance you can use for car windshields that have small knicks and the like, but I'm not sure how it would work on something that large.

depends on how deep the scratch is. sometimes for superficial scratches you can polish them out, but for deep ones there is not much you can do apart from replace it or have a pro look at it.

to polish it out try a mild abrasive powder or even toothpaste (so i'm led to beleive ) so long as it is paste, not gel. to try this, wipe the scratch clean, then squirt toothpaste onto scratch, rub it in for a little bit (whistling while you do it improves results dramatically), let it dry, then buff it off with soft cloth (wiggling your butt while you do this also helps).

I haven't called the store where I bought the table. I first wanted to find out if there is something I can do on my own. It looks like I will have to contact a professional. Just do not want to pay too much on this job...

Thanks dropdedfwed, for the list of stores. If the stuff for windshields does not work (once I know what it is & where ti buy it), I'll give a call to one of these stores.
